The Donation Policy is as follows:
Anyone interested in donating items to the NTUA Library – Information Center must submit a request to the relevant Office, attaching a list with the following details of the items (a template is available on the Library’s website):
- Title of book / Journal
- Name of Author or Collective Body
- Year of Publication
- ISBN / ISSN
The request is initially reviewed by the relevant Library Office and then forwarded for discussion to the Library Senate Committee.
If the decision is positive, a relevant excerpt from the minutes of the meeting is sent to the Executive Director, who recommends the final approval of the request to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
The decision of the Board of Directors is communicated to the donor, who is informed of the delivery of the documents. It should be noted that the donor is responsible for the transportation costs.
Documents sent by post without prior consultation with the Donations Office will not be accepted.
After accepting the donation, the Library sends a thank-you letter to the donor, signed by the relevant Vice-Rector
