New Service: “Self-Check Loan System” at the NTUA Central Library (Zografou)

The NTUA Library & Information Center now offers an automatic borrowing kiosk (Self-Check Service), located at the entrance of the “THEMISTOKLES XANTHOPOULOS” Central Library on the Zografou Campus.

Each member of NTUA, carrying their physical library card (pass/academic ID), can easily and quickly scan the barcode located on the back of the card in order to:

• Borrow books using their library card. Upon completion of the loan, each member receives an email informing them of the return date of the borrowed item(s).
• Return borrowed books. Certified access is not required for returning materials. Upon completion of the return, the member receives an email confirming the return of the item(s).
• Check their library account status, including the number and titles of borrowed books and any fines due to overdue returns.
• View the return dates of the borrowed books.
• Renew borrowed books.
