The Library organizes events in order to promote its services and also to inform the Polytechnic Community members (students, academic and administrative staff) about issues of their proper interest. Moreover, it contributes to promoting knowledge by maintaining extraversion according to the new era demands and it sets specific goals by taking into consideration the Academic Community’s needs. Actually, the Library’s social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram) and the organization of events and competitions enhance the extraversion by attracting more members, who perceive the Library as a source of knowledge and a place that supports openness of expression and communication.
Hence, the Library has already conducted a number of training seminars aimed to raise awareness and inform its members about confronting important issues, such as stress and anxiety, first aid knowledge and registration for voluntary bone marrow donation.
In conclusion, the Library is able to host, in a specially designed venue, various events relevant to the Polytechnic Community, including book presentations, film screenings and any other event that attracts Community’s interest.
